Cap Skirring is at the very southern edge of Senegal, near its border with Guinea-Bissau. My wife and I travelled there from Gambia in January 2008.

Senegal Airlines fly there from Dakar. You should probably be able to fly there from Paris and perhaps Brussels, but we travelled by car having first enjoyed a few days in Gambia, which is an easy (and cheap) place to reach from The United Kingdom.

Various websites show a number of rather splendid hotels in this area and a number of packages for French and Belgian visitors. We stayed at the Alizes, which is wonderful. Have a look at my Hotels page.

We arrived in Gambia on New Years Eve 2007. Follow the link to Getting There to see how we did it.
